SpongeStar Privacy Policy
SpongeStar is developed and published by Unknown Coast LLC (“Unknown Coast,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the SpongeStar mobile game.
Information and Game Progress
SpongeStar does not require a player account. Unknown Coast does not ask you to provide your name, postal address, telephone number, or email address to play the game.
The game may save progress, unlocked content, settings, scores, in-game currency, and rewards on your device. Local game data is used to operate the game and may be removed by clearing app data or uninstalling, subject to any device backup settings.
Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)
SpongeStar uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how players use the game and to improve its performance and experience. Analytics may collect app-instance identifiers, device and app information, approximate geographic information, usage and engagement data, and in-game events such as levels started or completed, session activity, selections, and gameplay outcomes. We use aggregated reports to understand which features players use and where improvements may be needed.
Firebase and Google may automatically collect or process additional technical information under their applicable terms and policies. Analytics information can be associated with pseudonymous identifiers; it should not be assumed to be fully anonymous.

Advertising (Google AdMob)
SpongeStar uses Google AdMob to display advertisements, including optional rewarded ads that players may choose to watch to receive in-game coins or other indicated rewards, and interstitial ads at natural breaks in gameplay. Advertising helps support the free game.
Google and its advertising partners may collect or use information such as device identifiers (including advertising identifiers when available), IP address, app interactions, ad impressions and clicks, device characteristics, and approximate location inferred from technical information. Depending on your location, consent choices, device settings, and other requirements, advertising may be personalized or non-personalized.

Consent and Privacy Choices
Where required, SpongeStar uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request or present privacy choices for advertising and related data use. Players in certain regions, including the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, and applicable U.S. states, may see a consent or privacy options message.
Where available and required, players can revisit privacy choices through the in-game Privacy Options control. Device-level advertising and privacy settings may also be available through Android. Declining consent does not prevent access to the core game, although the types of ads available may change.
How Information Is Shared
Unknown Coast uses service providers including Google AdMob and Google Analytics for Firebase to operate advertising and analytics. These providers may process and share data as described in their own policies and in accordance with applicable privacy choices. Unknown Coast does not operate a marketplace for selling players' contact information. Advertising-related data processing may qualify as a “sale” or “sharing” under some privacy laws, and eligible players can exercise applicable opt-out rights through available privacy controls.
Device and Technical Data
Third-party SDKs and platform services may process device model, operating system, app version, network information, diagnostic data, and technical identifiers to provide analytics, advertising, security, and app functionality. Collection depends on SDK configuration, device settings, and applicable consent requirements.
Google Play
When downloading, installing, updating, or purchasing through Google Play, Google processes related information under its own terms and privacy policies.
Children's Privacy
SpongeStar is not designed or marketed specifically for children under 13. It does not require children to create accounts or provide contact information. If you believe a child's information has been collected inappropriately, please contact us using the details below.
Data Retention and Controls
Local progress generally remains on your device until removed, cleared, or overwritten. Information processed by Google and its partners is retained according to their respective policies and retention settings. For questions about data handled by Unknown Coast, or requests concerning your privacy rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond as required by applicable law.
Security
We take reasonable steps to design SpongeStar in a way that limits unnecessary collection of user information. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as SpongeStar changes. Changes may be made if we add features such as advertising, analytics, online multiplayer, cloud saving, accounts, or other services that affect how information is processed.
